Pipe rotation units
Rotation Units are essential components in various processes, designed to facilitate precise and controlled rotation of pipes.
Solution:
Rotation Units facilitate pipe rotation for processes such as internal coating, blasting, pipe-end cleaning, welding, inspection, and more. They ensure consistent treatment and full access to all pipe surfaces.
Key Features:
- Frequency-controlled
- Optional swivel system for controlled pipe positioning
- Installed on carriage frame when required for adjustment to different pipe lengths
- Optionally equipped with lower-in and kick-out arms for loading and unloading of the rotation units
- Optionally designed with a liftable configuration, ideal for installations in diabolo conveyor lines to lift pipes from diabolo rollers
Benefits:
- PU-covered wheels to safeguard external blasted and coated pipe surfaces
- Optional swivel system prevents damage to the pipe bevel, unlike mechanical pipe-end rollers
- Optional width adjustment via an electrically driven spindle system, saving time when adjusting for different pipe diameters
How It Works:
A pipe is always rotated while supported by two or more pipe rotation units, which securely hold and rotate pipes during various processes in external and internal pipe coating plants, spoolbase facilities, CWC facilities, and more. These units offer controlled, adjustable rotational speeds to meet the specific needs of different processes and pipe sizes, ensuring even application, such as uniform coating across the entire pipe surface.
The Full Scope:
Pipe rotation units can operate independently or be integrated into specific processes. They are loaded and unloaded using a pipe indexer system or with lower-in and kick-out arms.
Product Range:
Selmers’ Rotation Units are suitable for a wide range of pipe diameters and can be customized to meet specific project requirements. They are designed to integrate seamlessly with various pipe handling systems, including:
- Inspection (visual and QC)
- Various processes in external pipe coating plants, such as blow-out station, pipe-end brush cleaning, pipe-end peeling, holiday inspection)
- Various processes in internal pipe coating plans, such as internal pipe wash, pipe drying, pipe blasting, blow-out, pipe coating, masking and de-masking, holiday inspection, etc.
- Used for various processes in CWC (Concrete Weight Coating) plants
- External and internal Pu (polyurethane) coating facilities
- Spoolbase and double/multi jointing facilities
