How It Works:
The counterflow fan prevents that steam flows from the quench to the coating area, where it can cause unsatisfactory coating results. The counterflow fan blows air from the front of the coating conveyor through the pipes that are on the conveyor. The airflow through the pipes causes the steam and hot air to move to move away from the coating area.
The range of the fan can be extended by installing one or more pneumatically liftable arms that move in front of the pipe when the pipe has passed. This allows for more efficient functioning of the system.

Counterflow fans can only be used with coating conveyors during coating of pipes. The system allows for continuous, automated movement of pipes from one stage of the process to the next, minimizing manual intervention and reducing the potential for errors.
