Pipe end brushing system

Pipe end brushing is  designed to clean and prepare pipe ends for welding or further coating applications. This system efficiently removes coating materials from the pipe ends, ensuring a clean surface for subsequent operations.

Solution:

Selmers’ Pipe End Brush Cleaning System is an (automated) solution that efficiently cleans pipe ends, removing all coating layers including PE/PP, adhesive, and FBE. This system ensures a clean surface for field joint welding and coating processes when installing pipeline connections.

Key Features:

  • Steel brush for efficient cleaning
  • Pipe bevel roll for precise positioning
  • Adjustable for various pipe diameters
  • Dust collector system for material extraction
  • Pneumatic cylinder for brush pressure control
  • Electrical control system
  • Remote control/camera monitoring (optional)
  • Noise reduction cabin (optional)

Benefits:

  1. Adjustable cutback length: The cutback length can be adapted up to maximum 300 mm.
  2. High-Precision Cleaning: Advanced brush technology ensures thorough and accurate removal of all coating material from pipe ends.
  3. Versatile Adaptability: The system can easily accommodate various pipe diameters, allowing for quick adjustments without extensive modifications.
  4. Integrated Low Emission Dust Collection: An efficient dust collector system manages waste material effectively, maintaining a clean working environment. Emission < 5 mg/m3.
  5. Robust Construction: Designed for durability, the system ensures long-lasting performance even in demanding industrial settings.
  6. Advanced Control System: The electrical control system allows for precise operation parameters, enhancing overall efficiency and consistency.
  7. Minimal Maintenance Requirements: Durable components lead to reduced maintenance needs, ensuring reliable operation over extended periods.

How It Works:

The Pipe End Brush System utilizes steel brushes to clean the pipe ends. The process begins with pipe end cleaning cars positioned at each end of the pipe. These carriages move towards the pipe ends, and pneumatic cylinders press the brushes against the rotating pipe. As the pipe rotates, the brushes effectively remove all coating layers. A dust collector system extracts the brushed-off coating material, maintaining a clean work environment.

The Full Scope:

  • Pipe loading and unloading system (e.g. pip indexer system or lower-in and kick-out arms
  • Pipe support and rotation unit, with swivel system for controlled pipe movement
  • Pipe end brush units
  • Dust collector system
  • Electrical control system
  • Remote control/camera monitoring (optional)
  • Noise reduction cabin (optional)

Product Range:

The pipe end brushing system is suitable for a wide range of pipe diameters. The easily adjustable design allows for quick adaptation to different pipe sizes, making it versatile for various pipeline projects.
