The robotic marking system enables flexible pipe marking in pipe coating facilities. The system can function completely autonomous. With the use of pipe position measurement the robot automatically adjusts to different pipe diameters. Depending on the client’s requirement, the marking can be applied inside or outside the pipe as well as axial and radial.
Advantages:
System can mark pipes internally as well as externally
Various options available, such as dot-peen marker, compressed air cleaning, optical marking verification
Autonomous system, no need for settings or adjustments by personnel
Automatic adjustment to a difference in pipe diameters
High precision pipe placement is not necessary
Self-cleaning print head
Simple to operate, no robotics expertise required!
How it Works
The robot is placed next to the pipe which be processed and is equipped with a (unique) end of arm tool. This end of arm tool contains displacement measurement sensors and an inkjet printer. The sensors will determine the pipe position and diameter. After the robot has processed this data, it will spray small dots of ink onto the pipe surface. These dots will create readable characters.
