Engineering
The Mechatronic approach is essential for an integral and optimal design of a mechanical system and the associated control system. By engineering the mechanical construction and associated control system at the same time, the best fit for the required functional properties is assured while providing cost effective solutions with our flexible engineering team. The solutions preferably are created from segmented modules.
We combine Operational Technology (OT) with Information Technology(IT) to create the Smart Solutions. In order to create a solid data structure, we transform your industrial automation and fabrication system into a 7 layer structure. Each layer adds context to the retrievable and generated process data, allowing for direct use for analyses to further optimize and automate your processes and enable future Machine learning.
The data can be visualized within an IT environment that we can provide. This enables the possibilities of business intelligence tools running your analyses, providing insights and allowing data driven prioritization. Your business is then ready for Industry 4.0.
Manufacturing
Selmers has the option of in-house manufacturing allowing us to be flexible and control the high quality. There the practical side of product development, but also assembly and testing take place.
People may not be aware of it, but we are in a world where a huge amount of software is being build. The properties (and the price) of a device are no longer determined by the mechanical structure, but by the functions of the software. Selmers builds in flexible code to keep costs relatively low while providing what you need. Your data security and integrity always come first.
Installation
We install the equipment, systems and plants very accurately(for some of our solutions this is essential) and quick! Our site managers are real globe trotters, as well as the mechanical, electrical and software engineers that come along to support him and our customers’ crew as it is often a team effort.

Commissioning
Proper commissioning is very important, not only because it is the actual delivery of the project. But also because it is a project phase where important optimization of the integrated processes takes place. Our experienced crew easily finds the optimal settings and adjust accordingly, leaving you with that high quality process you came to us for!
We at Selmers have introduced the functionality of virtual commissioning using a digital twin coupled to the actual structured industrial software.
The digital twin, combined with the structured data generated from your process, could give you an entirely different view on your current process. You can do it even before manufacturing takes place, when the detailed engineering is finished and use it as a review of the design. This VR commissioning reduces up to 30% on site time for software commissioning.
Training

Traditional training in manufacturing calls for an experienced, technical, global trainer to inspire even your most experienced employees on all levels. Obviously, this comes with a certain price tag. For that reason, Education 4.0 may be a more suitable option. This includes e-learning and VR training allowing you to teach employees individually at their own pace, with minimum trainer involvement. This not only improves the allocation of resources to production-oriented tasks but prepares your new employees for handling the equipment before actually working with them at the same time.
