Equipment training

Acid wash system

Description

Surface preparation is conducted to the relevant standards by blasting clean the inner or outer pipe surface ensuring the desired cleaned steel surface and anchor profile for the coating application. In certain cases the pipes may require a phosphoric acid wash to remove chlorides, sulfates, salts etcetera.

Training goal

This training gives an overview of the acid wash cabin including operating, adjusting and maintenance.

Chromate application system

Description

Additional coating performance enhancement can be achieved by treating the clean pipe surface with a chromate solution prior to the final preheat.

Training goal

This training gives an overview of chromate application including operating, adjusting and maintenance of the chromate cabin.

Conveyors

Description

To transport a pipe through the plant. A conveyor is used. The speed and wheel settings are dependent of the diameter of the pipe to be handled and the process for example coating or blasting.

Training goal

This training gives an overview of diablo, chain and wheel conveyors including operating, adjusting and maintenance.

Dust filters

Description

During processing, like blasting and pipe end cleaning dust will be produced. To handle the dust in a safe and environmentally sound manner dust filters are used.

Training goal

This training gives an overview of Selmers dust filtersincluding operating, adjusting and maintenance.

FBE application system

Description

To apply an epoxy coating on a pipe an epoxy cabin and spray guns are used. To apply a coating within the specs it is important to know how epoxy is applied and how to deal with variables.

Training goal

This training overviews an epoxy cabin and spray guns including, operating adjusting and maintenance.

External blasting system

Description

Surface preparation is conducted to the relevant standards by blasting clean the outer pipe surface ensuring the desired cleaned steel surface and anchor profile for the coating application. To do the job an external pipe blaster is used.

Training goal

This training gives an overview of an external pipe blaster including operating, adjusting and maintenance.

Integrated powder spray gun control system

Description

For controlling powder spray guns an Integrated Control System is used. This system incorporates closed-loop digital flow for consistent, repeatable coating performance on your powder line. It integrates all powder control functions into a single, easy-to-operate system.

Training goal

This training gives an overview of an integrated powder spray gun control system including operating adjusting and maintenance.

Internal blasting system

Description

Surface preparation is conducted to the relevant standards by blasting clean the inner pipe surface ensuring the desired cleaned steel surface and anchor profile for the coating application. To do the job an internal blaster is used.

Training goal

This training gives an overview of an internal blaster including operating, adjusting and maintenance.

Internal heating system

Description

To dry the pipe after the internal wash station an internal heater is used.d.

Training goal

This training gives an overview of an internal pipe heating station including operating, adjusting and maintenance.

Internal pipe wash system

Description

Before blasting the inner pipe surface it needs to be cleaned so guarding the quality of the blast grit. To do the job an internal wash station used.

Training goal

This training gives an overview of an internal pipe wash station including operating, adjusting and maintenance.

Pipe end cleaning and pipe end peeling systems

Description

To transport a pipe through the plant. A conveyor is used. The speed and wheel settings are dependent of the diameter of the pipe to be handled and the process for example coating or blasting.

Training goal

This training gives an overview of pipe end cleaning and pipe end peeling equipment including operating, adjusting and maintenance.

Waste water unit

Description

In certain cases the pipes may require a phosphoric acid wash to remove chlorides, sulfates, salts etcetera. The waste of the pipes contains acid and heavy metals, a waste water unit water provides in a proper and environmental friendly discharge of these products.

Training goal

This training gives an overview of an waste water unit including operating, adjusting and maintenance.
